Finally the break in period is over but still taking it easy due of bad weather. But still enough to feel the power. You don't really lack power in this car. No need to downshift to get the car moving and pass another car. The car pull nicely in every gear. Vinter tyres not as much grip as summer tyres in the dry (obviously), need to be careful with the throttle using first and second gear, or at least avoid pushing the throttle too deep against the floor.

My favorite things about the car is the engine sound and the manual gearbox. Sit inside the car and get past 3500 rpm and the engine makes a wonderful growl, its kinda loud too. Even at idle you notice there is something about the engine. My next favorite thing is the gearbox, not as meaty feeling as my bimmer but it's easy, quick and direct. Somehow I sometimes mistake third gear with fifth gear.
Steering is nice too, direct and quick, much lighter than my bimmer but I'm getting used to it.

Not much to dislike about the car other than the petrol cap on the wrong side and also I'm left handed and when I want to close the trunk there is no grip for my left hand so I have to use my right hand. Small issues I know but still annoying me.
Also some fool made an ugly dent in my door, happen one week after I got my car home.

Anyway, the summer can't come soon enough so I can enjoy my car 100%.

I had my first race today. Latest Audi A8 was about to pass me when I hit the floor. I was thinking it was one of the popular 3-liters diesel engine from Audi so I might have a little chance. But dammit I was wrong He did pass me but then I spotted it was a 4-liters diesel. I had to look it up, that monster got 346hp/800 nm powerful engine. I picked the wrong car to mess with but it least I know his car probably cost 4 times more than my car
Win or not it was fun and great way to end the year. Congratz to you Audi driver, see you next year

Yeah same as my story with the CLA driver mistaking my S65 for a CDI... I wasn't dumb enough to race him tho

I changed from wintertyres to summer performance tyres (Bridgestone Potenza RE050A) yesterday. What a huge change. Traction, brake distance, brake feel, steering feel. Almost like I got a different car. Tyres do make a difference.

Sweden is a small market for Ford so finding stuff for ST is pretty much impossible. And I don't want to import stuff, not my thing

You know you want to make that quick trip to Finland for the Montune package, it's Ford approved.

Its not approved in Sweden and there been people trying to get it approved but Ford Sweden is stubborn and refuse.

Too much fuss to get it. I simply dont have the time and effort to go through with it. Also, I live in southern sweden, way too long to go to Finland from there. It's not a one day trip.
And if something goes wrong with the car, its a long way to transport a broken car all the way to Finland. Besides I already have enough traction problems with the standard car so Mountune isn't helping either LOL

Forget it gentlemen, it aint happening. Its not worth the trouble, just to get an engine upgrade. If it was in Sweden then it would be totally different story, then I wouldn't need to worry about future issues.
