BMW did some "great" cost savings on the ambient light under the dashboard trim. What a disappointment.

Its bigger in the G26 4-series Gran Coupe / i4 Gran Coupe. The coupe/convertible has always been so small like this.

I thought I was clear in my previous posts, IMO it is one of the main reasons (among others) why it sells so well.
What I dispute is that here it is said and tries to establish that the grill is NOT liked or the most common one "is ugly", which is just defending the opinion of some (respectable), against real data.

A couple a easy fixes would have been getting rid of that stupid smile on the lower part of the grille, and using plush door handles.

Both changes already present in the 4er GC.

At no point have I ever said that, and if you think I have, please show me where I've said it.

There is certainly something being lost in translation here. Genuine question. Do you actually understand English or are you using an online translator? They're not perfect and you could be misunderstanding my posts.

Further insight on the G2x LCI models:

- the high-end matrix Adaptive LED headlights are only offered in conjunction with M Sport Pro Package, at least in Germany, which obviously adds more to the price; thus, for example, there is no way to order the basic spec version with these headlights (as those would automatically trigger M Sport package, by default) - so the basic spec gets the standard LED lights
- the Laser tail lamps only come in conjunction with the Adaptive LED headlights, and, you guessed it - M Sport Pro Package; the standard LED lights trigger only the pre-LCI rear lights
- the BMW Individual Aluminium Line exterior ornaments are gone - only the M Shadowline black chrome ornaments stay, even on the entry-level version
- no more xDrive badges on the M440i/M440d, just like in the case of the M340i/M340d & M760e - partly to emphasize the lettering philosophy for the high-end ///M models equipped with AWD, which also do not sport the xDrive badge (only in the US, you can see an xDrive badge on an M3/M4 etc.)

Too much simplification for the sake of simplification results into further complication.

That's not the base.

"Base" is a meaningless statement anyway, unless you specify which market. And even then, just because a country has a higher spec base model, it's not like you're not paying for it. It's just wrapped up in the price of the standard spec. Each country chooses what to include in their standard specification and adjusts the price accordingly. Germany tends to have the lowest base prices, but therefore the lowest standard spec. Below is the base 4er in Germany...

The M Sport steering wheel on the G2x LCI is actually a facelift of the outgoing M Sport steering wheel. The metallic frame is resemblant of the one seen on the new M Sport steering wheel design, whereas the centrepiece and buttons are taken from the older iteration.

Even the standard 2-spoke steering wheel is actually a mix between the new one seen on the G60 (for example) - basically, more or less the same frame, yet carrying over the old buttons.
