The BMW 8 Series (G14) was announced on 15 June 2018, and sales started November 2018. It was initially available as a coupé (G15), with the convertible (G14) and the four-door Gran Coupé (G16) variants introduced later, succeeding the F06/F12/F13 6 Series lineup.

10 times better looking than the coupe.

The taut-fitting canvas top certainly benefits the cabriolets' aesthetic.

I've almost always preferred coupes over their soft-top siblings-but in the case of The 8, the cabriolet provides some compelling arguments.

It is charming how the lid is opened to store the roof, it is even dynamic and new now that the system works on the reverse that all the cabrio I have seen so far, (with the exception of Porsche 911 I think it is the same).

It should also favor aerodynamically the fact of opening it when the car is in motion as it opens in a positive direction to the wind
