Concept Official: BMW Vision ConnectedDrive Concept for Geneva

Of course, Dukec was great. Btw, he was the lead of the design team for the concept.

:D

Remeber this?

I’ve been told Blasi.
And check the exterior sketches: they all wear Juliane’s signature. So … :)
Đukec (he came from Citroen just recently) was appointed a project design supervisor / leader for this Advanced Design Studio project. But the exterior design is pure Blasi’s work. That’s what my sources told me. ;)

Are you sure you were there? Cause you would have said hello to me.

I think Scott was referring to me not to you. ;)

Yes, you were right.

Dukec was at Citroen for 10 years but he said he is more than thrilled now to be at BMW. Very nice guy, down to earth and sharp.

I was talking about Scott being there and not saying hello...after all these years :)

:D

Remeber this?

I think Scott was referring to me not to you. ;)

I did contact you before hand but your messages were full.
I did sort of speak to you in passing , but not in full conversation .
But I see you were eventually dragged by your colleagues from the 1M....

As you see yourself on Press day there is a lot of people to get through and besides I have pressing matters to attend to , as I was dealing with
The exclusive guests that BMW had brought in from a marketing point of view.
Plus there was a lot of BMW alumi ,especially in design . Henrik Fisker popped by as did the prodigical son Chris Bangle and did you recognise Wolfgang Reitzle? Both loved the Vision Connected Drive Concept.

Also behind the scenes backstage was like the "Downfall" video on the news that VW were sticking their nose into BMW's business.
That was interesting and you would have loved to be a fly on the wall there. Might have been all smiles but behind the scenes...

No. on the second actual show picture.
Can't remember who I was talking to at the time but I was showing executives from a major film studio.
Although BMW's will feature in the upcoming Mission Impossible : Ghost Protocol which features the Vision Efficient Dynamics/i8 aswell as other BMW's. Interest in BMW's products has also taken a step further to the silver screen.

The Vision Connected Drive is also gathering interest as product placement as BMW is locked into three additional projects supplying automobiles and logistics for a major studio apart from MI-GP's (paramount pictures)

So it's very likely you will get to see the Vision Connected Drive in a film for which I read the synopsis and treatment and sounds like a very interesting concept , definitely original. Think of the originality of Inception but in the real world.

I did get to meet Gwyneth Paltrow and she will be doing something promotional for BMW too.
Mrs Scott will not be very happy.

Look out for a major BMW promotional push on Mission Impossible : Ghost Protocol later this summer.

Horatio @ BMW Blog is on this video too.

:))) Yup, just saw the video.

According to Horatiu info, if we look at the pics 1, 7 and 8, there are three different guys talking, with seems to be what SCOTT was telling us he was doing.

I would have said SCOTT was the blond one, as I think he is the one he the best styling (and someone who drives and M5 has to have style), and I think the blond one looks more germanic. But, after knowing he was behind Adrian van Hoydonk, I´ve searched in this pic:

And the man on the right of van Hoydonk is the only one who appears in the pics Horatiu mentioned, so:

This is SCOTT.

Yes, bravo!

Marc Girard, Head of interior design BMW Automobile, is our SCOTT. :D

NOT!

It's Horatiu who's in the pics 1, 7 & 8, not SCOTT. The guy in blueish suit: Horatiu Boeriu.

Ops!, but you must admit my presentation was very emotional :D:D

you two T&T are quite elusive guys, but I think we should respect that. I always respect your privacy and don´t even mention your real names, even when I know then. ;)

He is nothing but some BMW employee who likes typing buzz on the internet that he heard in the hallways of the BMW building. That's why 90% of his info is vaporware ;)

But sometimes we can make fun out of it, don´t you think? :D

Of course, I'm all for that. And Scott being some sort of elusive Stig like person is kind of fun too, as long as he quits talking about himself in all the pics. It's about BMW, not Scott.

BTW, it's good to have Eni around for all those faces in the press pics. It appears he knows the name with every face who works for BMW. Nice info.

After having seen this car more and more, I just thiank it has a bit of this in the front:

Don´t you think?.

I like the return of BMW to the rectangular shape for the headlights. They´ve been using the eagle eye shape since the E46 Coupe LCI, and it´s time to get rid of it. X3, and Z4 don´t use them and their frontlights look quite good in my eyes.

I expect the new 7er to have this kind of shape in the front, and a more curvy shoulder line as the one on the X3, X1, F20 1er and F30 3er.
