X5 M / X6 M [Official] BMW X5 M (F95)

The X5 M is the high-performance variant of the X5. In April 2009, the X6 M version was announced, with a 408 kW (547 hp) version of the BMW S63 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine. The BMW X5 M and X6 M are the first vehicles from BMW M GmbH to have xDrive all-wheel-drive system and automatic transmissions, and are also crossovers as opposed to passenger cars.
What wrong with blue? Did you prefer a red launch colour?
Think silver would have made it pop more, launch colour of the previous X5M. I also prefer the black on the X6. My favourite colour is blue, but I don’t think it works well here.

I have seen the X3 in silver and the lines pop beautifully in the colour. Unfortunately M And M-Sport colours tend to be very limited.

Silver isn't an option for the X5 at all.

You can get donington grey metallic for the X5M.

And this is imho still the best color to get (see also your pic above).
Donington is simply stunning. Not a flat silver, but a silver with some depth because of other - sometimes brownish looking - mixins! And since it is still a bright color, it reveals lines/creases perfectly and gives a beautyful contrast to carbon fiber parts/competition accents.
And on top, you have either the chance to go for a muted black interieur or a bit more bold shakir/red one. Both looking absolutely tasteful. Donington all day for me. (y)

The tires on these mags - both the X5M and upcoming GLE 63 - are ridiculously asynchronous with the vehicle’s purpose. They won’t be able to handle a shopping mall curb, let alone a dirt road. Power with compromised purpose is all fine and dandy, but not for me.

Except the purpose of an X5 M is not found on a dirt road.
I don't really see the compromise, and nobody in western Europe (at least) drives off road anyways. Granted this will be different in for example SA, but still the X5 M is made with soft offroading in mind if we are to believe the developers. Which I do.

Not even in SA no one is going to take their X5M off-road not even the regular X5s , if they are it’s probably a very small percentage and it’s soft off-road that a AWD sedan can negotiate. If you’re buying any X5 to take off road than you’re buying the wrong car. Even Range Rovers on our streets aren’t taken off road!

Well then I must be part of that very small percentage that needs a safe, comfortable SUV that can travel at high speeds for several hours until I get to 30km's of offroad/gravel/4x4 trail. IE: when I arrive at a game reserve or my little cottage in the deep Karoo. The X5M wheels will be worse for wear after a trip like this. Probably even buckled.

Besides, if one absolutely had to have a V12 X7, I'm sure the likes of Mansory or Project Khan could lift the V12 from the M760 into the X7's engine bay. To each his/her own..

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
