It's a beautiful car let down by the fact it should have received the E's interior, not the C's.

Think about all those high specced CLE's with their pathetic door and dash plastics.
I'm curious to see what the FL C-class interior is going to look like as I feel that the new CLA will surpass it for interior quality and tech. I hope they revise it totally and improve the nasty cheap plastics in the lower part of the dash and doors and then this will filter to the CLE in a couple of years time. It would be even better if the CLE would get the E-class interior it certainly needs it considering the high price tag it commands.

It's quite a mess.

I'd be impressed if the new CLA incorporated many of the quality 'improvements' shown in the new E. To be fair, they are not really improvements, they are the level of build and finish we should expect of a Mercedes. But let's see what they give us with the CLA.

The C should have the same lower dash and transmission tunnel plastics as the GLC. They both should have the GLC's lower dash plastics on the door cards.

The CLE should have the E's interior. The fact that it get's the C Interior, which is inferior to the GLC's, is just outright disrespectful to the customer.

Non of the EQE and EQS models have a level of build and finish equivalent to their ICE counterparts. And IMO that is not acceptable either.

Sounds like the M177 for sure.
Autocar published back in May that the Officials at MB have confirmed the CLE63 will get the V8.

The upcoming Mercedes-AMG CLE 63 will receive a twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 petrol engine developing up to 585bhp, senior officials at the division’s Mercedes-Benz parent company have confirmed.

Doesn't seem to be an issue on the E and S class. But C and below definitely seem to have suffered.

He complained about the lower back support in both the front and rear of the new E-class. It wasn't bad, but not as good as the BMW apparently. Similar comments when he compared the new X3 and GLC. He is extremely tall though.

He generally always complains about things in a Mercedes and would not complain the same thing in other cars

He is not the most consistent

As for the E class seats I think they were shouted had a 300km ride definitely better then the previous model I owned
