E-Class W213 [Official] Mercedes-Benz E-Class W213 Facelift

The W213 Mercedes-Benz E-Class is the fifth generation of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, sold from 2016 as a 2017 model. It succeeded the W212/S212 E-Class models. The coupe/convertible models share the same platform as the sedan/wagon, in contrast to the previous generation. The high-performance Mercedes-AMG E63 and E63S versions of the W213 have been available as well from 2016 (as a 2017 model), and these are the only versions with V8 engines.

0-100 in 4.36sec and 0-200km/h in 16.88sec is pretty quick for a warm E-class AMG model. This is more than quick enough but the thought of an E63 S coupe not been available makes me sad always thinking about it. That would be an absolute monster.

I like that green colour, it makes the E63S really stand our. I also like the yellow and black leather interior customization but personally I wouldn't have chosen the same exterior interior combo but would have maybe selected matching green (similar to what is in the AMG GT) and black interior or choose a sunburst yellow colour like on the new SL to go with that yellow and black leather

I like the interior combo. That green is too loud, it reminds me of Python Green. I think Porsche's Irish Green would look good on it.

The new E-Class W214 will not be available until spring 2023 - but the current E-Class sedan can no longer be ordered

After the G-Class, there is now an order freeze for the E-Class sedan W213.
The E-Class Estate (S213), the E-Class Estate All Terrain, the 4-door Coupé CLS (C257) and AMG GT (4-door X290) are not affected by the order freeze.

While the CLS and the AMG GT 4-door will continue to be built in assembly hall 36 in Sindelfingen until the third quarter of 2023 , production of the station wagon will stop in mid-2023.

Mercedes is still accepting orders for the S213, C257 and X290.

From summer 2022, the E-Class sedan will also be produced in parallel in the completely modernized Hall 46 (old S-Class W222 production hall) together with the new GLC (X254, from the end of 2022).

Production in Halls 46 and 36 for the W213 will end in March 2023.

Due to the shortage of semiconductors, all production slots for the W213 E-Class sedan are already fully booked until March 2023. In addition, there was no longer a multi-beam LED light for the E-Class.

There may be new vehicles in the showrooms or orders from dealers that may still have the equipment changed.
Although there are still just over 12 months until the showroom debut of the W214 series, you can no longer order a W213 relatively early.

Currently, the delivery time was actually 9-10 months for the Mercedes E-Class sedan. In the event that the tense situation in the semiconductors eased somewhat in the second half of the year, it would probably have been possible to sell a few additional units.

In this way, you can possibly lure the customer either to the slightly more expensive E-Class T-model, CLS or even to electromobility with the EQE (release for sale at the end of February / beginning of 2022).

That doesn’t make any sense. I’d wait for official word from MB if there is even a need to to clarify anything, which I doubt there is.

I don’t exactly know, what you’re doubting, but one thing is for sure: you can’t order an E class sedan W213 anymore in Germany. For the stationwagon S213 however there are still some slots.

I don't see the point of being news. It's the same back and forth about the G-Class. Sold out is a misnomer in the first place. When you can't build that many of course they're going to "sell out". It's a nothing burger.
