It is incredible to realise the SLR is now 20 years old, and it is getting better with age.
The problem with the SLR interior is it looks like a silver spray painted SL interior. They had identical airvents and HVAC controls and very similar instruments graphics, but with different colours.Exterior yes, interior not quite as much as the quality of materials wasn't what it is today. And it's not bespoke enough, looks like an SLK or something.
The best analogy.silver spray painted
It’s one of the best Mercedes designs in the last 30 years.Spotted another S65 coupe on the road,
This one has the gold brake callipers for the carbon brake system.
Still stunning at 10 years old.

The C217/W222 are very strong from a reliability standpoint - I’ve had a C217 since 2019 and owned a pre-facelift S63 more recently as my daily. Aside from regular maintenance, Ive had no serious issues with either. Both have been a pleasure to own.How bad will this be over time in terms of reliability? Seriously considering one
Beautiful car. The owner must’ve paid a fortune for it when new with the taxes down your way.Spotted another S65 coupe on the road,

What a beautiful car. Hard to believe Mercedes stopped building this stunner and replaced it with the not so lovely CLE cabrio and SL.Beautiful car. The owner must’ve paid a fortune for it when new with the taxes down your way.
I was admiring this gorgeous S65 Cabrio I saw the other day. Very rare over here:![]()

I don’t get why people keeping saying this. The CLE is the new CLK and has nothing to do with replacing the S Coupe. The price difference alone says this. The SL isn’t a replacement either. Both a CLK/E Coupe have always been around and so has the SL along with the S/CL Coupe. I don’t see how they’re replacing anything. What a beautiful car. You right, but unfortunately there is no true replacement for the lovely S/CL Coupe/Cabrio and potential buyers have no choice but to buy the CLE or SL if they want a sporty/cruiser coupe/cabrio. I do believe in future Mercedes will bring back the S coupe again. It has a long history line that cant be ignored. 280SE coupe/450SLC/500SEC are legends and fondly remembered by Mercedes enthusiasts.I don’t get why people keeping saying this.
