Yes it is painful looking at the current Mercedes Australia offering and realise that besides the S - Class, there isn't anything appealing to us.

If BMW Australia can bring the 3 series and 5 series touring, plus the M3 and also the M5 touring to the Australian market, surely Mercedes Australia can also bring the C and E class estate as well? As impressive as the modern SUV offerings are, I still prefer to drive a low riding estate/touring/wagon.

Both E classes will be staying so I will drive them when I need more space and comfort, which means the remaining car can be more performance orientated. On the topic of ride quality, the suspension on the M3 actually felt more controlled and smoother than my C class.

You need an E53 wagon and an S580 W223 FL.

Very modern without being fashionable. A good recipe for enduring design that will continue to appear fresh for quite some time to come. In the sum of it's attributes, the most attractive 4 door M-B vehicle IMHO. Devoid of almost any and all elements of tacky shtick, it will hopefully serve as a template for future M-B sedans, regardless of whether they have BEV or ICE hybrid powertrains.

The W214 E-class is a very attractive saloon and it looks very elegant in the flesh. Mercedes 3x saloons, C, E and S are all very good looking cars, but the W214 is the car that catches my eyes the most.

I think that's because the i5 ugly though it is, is still better looking than the EQE. And therin lies the difference.
