I sensed a lot of buzz and general enthusiasm around the world for this IAA, with the rarely seen launches from all three German companies at the same time and place.

I expected much more TBH.

I'm trying to squeeze in another trip to Munich this year and had thought about using the IAA as an excuse, but to be honest, I didn't like the format of it, so I didn't go. I prefer the conventional format of motorshows of old.

Yes but only one. From Porsche I would have expected the full reveal of the Cayenne.

From Mercedes Benz, the G Convertible ( especially after it was teased).

From BMW the 7er LCI.

Instead they decided to present only one car.

I understand, but I think it was more than fine and that the idea was not to present more so as not to have distractions from such important releases and focus, which is what happened.
