Exterior proportions are horrible. What is the tall, flat, hatchback like rear with those weird taillights? Porsche is having its Mercedes EQ era

I don't understand the reaction to the screens. There are two. The passenger one will be an option, just like it is on the Taycan, the Macan, and the Panamera.

What I'm not sure of is the need to have the curved bottom of the main screen. But there are no more screens than pretty much every car on sale today. I have two on my C-Class. Two on my Renault 5. There are two on the VW Golf.

Good point. Am I the only one seeing the rear lights of the new Tiguan here?

It's still disguised.

That interior is terrible, but the cost cutting was to be expected after seeing the Macan EV interior, gen 3 Panny, and Cayenne/911 facelift interiors.

I guess you can’t run from screens anymore, and it somehow at least looks different and interesting in the implementation. That said, as mentioned, the lack of aluminum and even leather on the dash etc is worrying. I hope this is somehow a base turbo spec

No leather stitching on the upper dashboard? I guess it’s made of hard plastic.
I see the different surfaces on the upper dashboard; the bridge over the instrument cluster is hard plastic, along with the vent section above the centre console that it emanates from. The large flat area looks to be soft touch PU - and a likely candidate for personalisation option for leather covering.

I agree and would say that Porsche is being forced to. Whether this is to align on some group-wide supply chain strategy or something else - I don’t know. But this VW-ness seeping into the interiors of Porsches is palpable.

Yep. You can see it in the overall architecture, which is mimicking the rest of the VW Group's screen approach, as well as specific design approaches and details.

Let's hope the build and finish are top notch.

The fact that Porsche are no longer the margin leading cash cow of the group, with a massive drop in profitability, may mean further integration into the groups fold to 'reduce costs' and 'increase margins'. Not what Porsche fans will be wanting to hear.
