This is going to look great. It also makes me wonder...are we getting AMG variants of the A-class sedan here in the U.S.? I don't recall seeing spy shots of that AMG sedan. Would be a good reason to get the CLA over the A.

While this is a clear and obvious improvement over the CLA, I still think it will look nowhere near as good as the Concept Style Coupe from 2012, which I think is absolutely stunning, and one of my favorite Mercedes-Benz designs. (I know it's a bit of an unfair comparison)

I'm hoping for a dual reveal of the CLA and GLB. It would be nice to get these compacts out the way so we can start getting to the some of the bigger reveals.

No of course not. The A-Class sedan rollout hasn't even hit it's stride yet. If anything we will see the A35 Sedan and then the A45 Hatch before the new CLA.

Ideally Mercedes will have improved the shape of the tail gate as it was laughably narrow at the base.

Didn't see this one coming. I hope Mercedes is thinking ahead here and has planned for a All Terrain version of this. It would sell like hotcakes to the lifted wagon/off roader crowd. Yes bring that version to the U.S. Fingers crossed for an All Terrain version.
