There is nothing classic BMW saloon in its proportions. The front overhang is huge and so is the hood height, not sleek like other saloons. From the rear it looks good but from the A-pillar forwards is where the awkwardness in its design starts. It's like the front and rear were designed by a different design team and just plastered together. In a way its the same with the 5 series, the rear looks good but the front is really ugly. Both have presence but unfortunately both are ugly.The 7er is a regular classical well proportioned sedan.

I think Klier is referring to The i7 G70 brings back the classic upright limousine look from the E23,E32 and E38 7er. When the E65 begun the more rounded sportier coupe roofline seen with the F01 and G11.Nope. It's a classic sedan and you're not going to change my mind with subjectivity.
