Flying Spur [Spy Shots] 2014 MY - Bentley Continental Flying Spur (Spy pics & Info)

I like this new Flying Spur's proportions & shape, looks much better than the previous gen & it does look like mini Mulsanne. But i hope it won't get those stupid Mulsanne's headlights. Really ugly, IMO.

OMG. It does have economy car FWD proportions. Look at how close the front wheels are to the doors. Terrible. That alone would push me to RR. I'm sorry, but even an Audi A4 being on FWD proportions is unacceptable to me.

Geez. They have really invested way too much money into S-Class camo. The roof line and shape of the rear deck looks encouraging and it seems like they are approaching this generation Flying Spur much better than the previous model which was a Continental GT with two extra doors - it was a poor design approach and made the car resemble a four door VW Beetle.

So I'm expecting larger differentiation from the coupe this time around.

It has got the Mulsanne rear hips but I'm afraid that won't stop the car from resembling a loaf of bread.

Hmmm..What is Bentley doing? I figured it would get a minor make over like the coupe version. Are they trying to distance it from the GT?

If it is all new, then that is fantastic.

It has got the Mulsanne rear hips but I'm afraid that won't stop the car from resembling a loaf of bread.

But it will be a Sexy loaf of bread!

Man, I had a Ghost behind me, and I SERIOUSLY couldn't tell if it was a new Chrysler 300 or Ghost. I SERIOUSLY wanted to slap myself, but no joke, I COULD NOT tell a difference. The LED's and grille proportions when it's dark out and the car's behind you, are seriously scarily alike. I came to the conclusion that it was a 300....

.... Turned out, it was a Ghost! Hard for me to see the car in the same way since then, sorry to say.

Until Bentley resolved the large, FWD look of the Continental group of cars they'll always looks ill-proportioned next to to cars like the 7-Series, S-Class and Jaguar XJ. The above Bentley looks like a large FWD car end of story.

As much as I hate the current Flying Spur, I look forward to the next model and really hope it is truly worthy of its name and shares nothing with other VAG brands. Here are some photos taken in Cheshire of it testing.

It's going to look hideous - just like the new Continental GT.

What's happening with Bentley exterior design lately? This, then the GT, and Exp9 ...

Why do Bentley camouflaged as S-class? That shows they really care about S-class as their competitor!
