Flying Spur [Spy Shots] 2019 Flying Spur

I thought that this car would be presented in Geneva, I do not understand Bentley's strategy, it delays even more the presentation of this car, still does not sell in the United States the Continental GT that they presented in 2017 and the Bentayga Speed turned out to be the same as always with different wheels.

I was recently in a Bentley dealer (Braman Miami) in the United States and it is incredible that they can still sell something, all the models seem old and irrelevant.

It generates a lot of sadness that a brand as emblematic as Bentley is doomed to die.

I don't think the Continental is at U.S. dealers yet and yes I agree the Flying Spur should have been shown today. I absolutely love Bentley always have since the 80's and it would be heartbreaking to see them die. I'm pretty certain I will like the new Conti in person, I like the current FS so there is no way to go up up from there. The Mully is still my favorite ultra luxury sedan. This marque mustn't die.

Don't forget the current flying spur was launched in 2013,the same calendar year of S-Class W222 revealed. As usual the new generation flying spur should reveal as early as in the next year.
But the current and 1st generation flying spur all were based on the VAG D1 platform back to 2002 VW Phaeton, which made it too old to compete with its rivals.
If the new flying spur reveals months later this year,in fact,it's in advance of schedule.

With massive WLTP issues being (finally) addressed in a more satisfactory manner, sales of the new Continental GT are beginning to show promise and its' brand-new GTC derivative has been greeted with enthusiasm. Bentley isn't dead. Yet.

Of course, the BREXIT and its' consequences loom. A result of which may be a shift of some production and final assembly to the European continent. Metal body stampings for the Contis are already produced at VWs' Zwickau plant. Assembly of Conti bodies-in-white at Porsches' Leipzig facility. In addition, possible production capacities for the anticipated PPE-based BEV model (speculation indicating a 4 door sedoupe) may be found at Porsche Leipzig or Audi Böllinger Höfe (where the eTron GT will be assembled).

Is Bentley going to dead? It's an unnecessary worry.Comparing to Maserati and JLR etc.,Bentley is in a very comfortable situation.Bentley met some financial trouble one or two years ago because its core products CGT and Flying Spur were too old to have adequate competitiveness at that time. The once anticipated Bentayga was short of expectation because of its unsatisfactory exterior design. With the new CGT and Flying Spur go on sale, financial problems for Bentley will be solved.

If Bentayga had performed well in markets when it launched 3 years ago,Bentley should have avoided any financial problems.
Bentley should refresh the Bentayga asap, giving it a bold, tall, boxy and mighty appearance with the new interior design from CGT,this will make a lot of money for Bentley, especially in Chinese markets.

I agree with you. I think some simple cosmetic changes could help a lot ...it is a technically excellent vehicle.

In the end people just don't want a rebadged Touareg for that money, I suppose. I sure as hell wouldn't.

Well they're not simply getting a "rebadged Touareg" …….I think you know that ;)
It shares its platform with several other VW products but it is much more than just a badge.

The new winged B has an art-deco feel with the translucent material and the font for the B.

Although rumor has it the interior will be different from the Conti GT, I am imaging this thing with the Conti's dash. Gives me the tingles and not the bad lack-of-vitamin-B12 tingles.
