5 Series (G60/G61/G68) [Spy Shots] BMW G60 5 Series LCI

The BMW G60/G61/G68 is the eighth generation of the 5 Series. Revealed on May 24, 2023, it commenced production in the summer of 2023 at BMW's Dingolfing Plant, with first deliveries beginning around October 2023. Body styles included: 4-door sedan/saloon (G60), 5-door wagon/estate (G61), and 4-door long-wheelbase saloon (G68).

The overhangs on this G60 5-series look so bad in real life, it's very FWDish and the front fenders look awkward. It's my least favorite of all the 5-series models ever produced. I don't like it one bit, which is a shame as I still like the G30 LCI so much and think its one of the best 5 models.

There were claims that it wouldn't adopt the Neue Klasse facelift, but all prototypes have the NK front design. So, these claims don't reflect the truth.
Changes could still happen. They have before. E60 Trunk lid for example. But the reveal of these N-K featured G60 suggests that they are too far ahead as these are actual metalwork changes.

I know that this is unlikely for BMW to invest in a midlife facelift. But, is there any possibility of altering and switching the current G60's flap type door handles to the flush door handles that have been installed on the G50, NA0 and ZA0?

I truly hope that BMW is still sticking with the original Neue Klasse makeover.
'' Both the standard and high-performance versions are said to gain an unprecedented option: a front-passenger screen. At the IAA Mobility Show in Munich this week, we learned that customers are actively asking for one. '' 🤣

BMW seems to be using edge-to-edge displays, similar to Mercedes. I think they'll give up on Tesla.

The super sedan is hiding a striking face, but the Neue Klasse look might not make it to production.
Although BMW initially planned to give the entire 5 Series lineup a comprehensive Neue Klasse makeover, word is Munich has had a change of heart. As we previously reported, such extensive body changes would bring significant costs, which is obviously something every automaker tries to avoid. That’s especially true in the case of a mid-cycle facelift. Carmakers are far more willing to invest heavily in next-generation cars, but the 5er and M5 are first due for an LCI.

Having yet to see the NA0 i3's precise specification data, the precise exterior/interior dimensions of the car remain a bit of a mystery. I'm GUESSING some 4850mm in length, 1900mm in width. That could put it in the position of being a serious threat to i5 sales/leases. In addition, BMW CEO Oliver Zipse announced quite a massive new product offensive that would encompass some 40 vehicles in all segments. As R&D times are being significantly slashed and manufacturing processes more automated hence streamlined, it would be conceivable that model cycles will be considerably shortened. Theoretically, applicable for the G60/61 as well.

I'm super interested in seeing the size as well. Would be super surprised if it is longer than a G20 long wheelbase like you suggest.

Smaller changes.. does this mean BMW expects to replace this generation sooner than expected hence the lack of a full Neue Klasse makeover?
