I seriously would NOT ask Scott. In around March this year he said that the 1 Series LCI was the "next thing to be released by BMW". I even delayed the purchase of my 1 Series based on this information.

I really don't understand this constant badgering of Scott for info on anything to do with BMW when he has a track record of getting many things wrong, either due to situations out of his control, or I'm sure, deliberately.

I juste want to understand because my source told me first that the lci should be out first in October then 12 December and now expected next 16th january ...

Because I am not at the "Mother Ship" at the current time , I knew of an LCI media release happening this month which I presumed would be the 1er but was in fact the 6er.
The launch will be with us the second week of January. Prior to current media speculation the 1er LCI will premiere at Geneva in March not the NAIAS.

The F20 was launched at 2011 Frankfurt show and judging from previous model E87 facelift occurring about 3 to 3 1/2 years after first launch the expected launch for the F20 LCI should be Geneva show 2015. The F30 3 series LCI will probably be 6 months later at Frankfurt 2015 as it came onto the market 6 months after the 1 series.

Nobody in their right mind would expect the 1 Series LCI to appear at NAIAS, because BMW don't sell the 1 Series in America.

And when you said the 1 Series was going to debut this month, it turns out you were "PRESUMING". Why not just say you don't know in the first place? It would avoid any embarrassment when you guess incorrectly.

Looking very forward to this, the last RWD 1series hatch!
Off topic but i haven't seen a 2series here in Hong Kong since the first batch was delivered, but the 1er is everywhere. Wonder how it's selling globally because here, basically it's priced so close to the 3er (with slightly lesser options) that someone who could afford a 228i, can definitely afford a 328i, and regardless of how the 2er may compare better than the 3er in some ways, the 3er is a higher model.

Seems like a compact/compressed version of the upcoming X1 headlights.

Pic that I took from a bmw brochure that was included in a local newspaper. It says that in the 'BMW closed room' secrets are unveiled. The BMW closed room is a room behind the scenes of the upcomig Brussels car show which starts next week.

I guess the car on the left side must be the facelift of the 1-series and the car on the right must be the 2-series gran tourer?
