Official Thread BMW Vision Neue Klasse

I like these "added" bumpers. Just like in old cars. I hope this idea goes into production.

Yeah I really like them too. And I only see upsides:

- The design of the car is more lean without the added bulk in the form of more bumpers.
- It keeps the actual car/paint completely free of scratches
- The material (which undoubtedly is some recycled plastic) should be cheap, quick and easy to fix (no painting)
- The textured nature makes it hard to even detect minor damage from collisions.

In short, I don't see why the wouldn't take this idea into production. Let's hope they do go into production indeed.

I don't know if this suspension provision was seen? Is it typical of the concept/s or does it indicate something real internal to the NK?

I really like the fact that the SUV typical moulding is present on the car. Gives it a more solid, active appearance despite being anything but.

Let's hope the NK can put BMW in the right design path once again.

Certainly, Audi and MB are way worse, but still.

Good image, if it looks pretty next to the prettiest, there is something going on.....

Langer: "This is what I presented as a design brief.",:
"I said, whatever we do with the car, the beltline should be the same as the E30."
This, Langer said, "gives the Vision Neue Klasse a heritage feel, without resorting to overtly retro styling."

Boss of BMW design, "another design inspiration came from the E21 3 Series. As you can see above, the nose is angled quite a bit, the overhangs are short and the bonnet is long.

New Bugatti steering wheel is sort of similar to the Neue Klasse concept wheel with the upper and bottom spokes.

^ First thing that came to mind when I saw the Tourbillon steering wheel. It's like a NK car lol

Probably NK SUV concept and a sports car above it?

Did we ever find out what the sports car above the iX3 is?

Could it be the 1 megawatt iM3 NK concept?

I actually think this is what Pebble Beach will give us a preview of.
