Official Thread BMW Vision Neue Klasse

Whilst it does look very similar to the rather lovely Vision Driving Experience, does the front splitter look less aggressive in the teaser images as compared to the camouflaged car?

They definitely look different

Im looking forward to seeing this car uncovered, its going to be the event of the year for BMW.

PS: remove beaver teeth, beaver fights back and claims entire rear fascia

*remove the proverbial beaver teeth front grille.

To finish off, an interesting BMW design trend is the extension of the double element visual theme: after the well-established double DRLs which themselves echo the iconic double kidney grilles, the latest concept-cars and production models (i Vision Circular, Neue Klasse concepts, X3, M5, M Hybrid V8...) now have the twin feature theme blown up to a much larger scale that encompasses the whole vehicle: a vertical line is emerging at the front splitter, running up the front fascia between the kidney grilles, dividing the hood into two salient humps and the roof into a double bubble on M models, continuing down the spoiler and tailgate on hatchback models, and concluding in the rear bumper and diffuser — ultimately splitting the entire car into two well-defined conjoined hemispheres, like a walnut or a symmetrical seashell sitting on its side.

Only the NK Duo defends itself, the rest might cause nightmates, especially the I Vision Circular and that X3 grille.

I trully hope they will get rid of the tacky paternifilia on their fronts, it looks so obsolete and tacky.

Despite the illuminated kidneys on the Vision Neue Klasse X, it‘s the cleanest and most appealing front up2date.

I don’t get the point of putting these taillights on the top of the deck on these concepts, but the production will have regularly positioned taillights like a G60. The designer was even explaining the reasoning for doing so is they can have a more interestingly shaped deck-lid since plastic can be molded in to way more shapes then metal.
It’s just dumb to do all that thinking for a concept and then not apply it to the production.

Seems they built a section of a giant “half pipe” to showcase the Vision Driving Experience Concept in Shanghai. It made it all the way to the top but no jumps!

With the giant diffuser, it does somewhat temper the only visual blight: that expansive arse. It'll probably more problematic in non-M guise though.

Everything else looks good.

The front is looking very weak compared to the original Neue Klasse concept.

I hope the slim graphics and softened edges won’t make it into production.
