Official Thread BMW Vision Neue Klasse

I cannot recall a 3 series generation in which BMW designers did not get it pretty much right. A long line of visually attractive automobiles since 1975. Of course, not to forget the preceding 114/02 models.

Yeah, pre-LCI E90 (which I own) is not particularly good looking (that damned chrome 'stache), the LCI M-sport looked much better, though I wasn't a fan of the LCI standard front bumper at all. My least favourite 3-er is probably the E21. Since it was really the E24 that got me hooked on the brand, the E21 always struck me as the 6-ers ugly little sister. I also wasn't a fan of the launch G20, though they have improved it since then.

I came pretty close to "pulling the trigger" on a pre-owned, pre-LCI, low mileage E90 325i about 15 years ago. Beautiful automobile. An almost silverish tone of metallic light green, tan leather with wood interior inlays and very nice original BMW alloys. An "almost fair" price as well. I found the car at the BMW Werksniederlassung pre-owned vehicle showroom in Dreieich near Frankfurt. Alas, no deal as I initially insisted on a 2000 Euro discount from the price listed, eventually went down to a 1500 Euro discount. Salesman offered 1000 Euro discount as "his last offer". I walked as I really didn't NEED a "new" car. But I admit that I did wonder whether that was a good choice for a while. It was a really nice car.

Still a fan of F30 to this day, still looks good on the road. Not a fan of the ride of M-Sport models. I prefer the drive of G20 but I'm not sure if I feel it looks better than F30.

This car really has FWD proportions. I'm glad BMW flared the fenders out so much, it helps distract from that and makes it look muscular. Well done from what I can see so far.
That is why the G50 and G84 are being far superior to the NA0 and ZA0 externally and proportionally. This is due to their traditional Rear Wheel Drive silhouettes along with the longer bonnets which in return they provide the visible prestige gaps.
