F1 Formula 1 - 2025 Season

Very good. The grandstand where we were at was packed. I imagine that there were very few open seats in any of the main grandstands.
What's also very nice is the accessibility and space management. Despite the thousands of visitors, we hardly ever queued (except for the insanely uncontrolled pit lane walk) and getting in and out of the venue works well. A fixture I highly recommend - if you can tolerate the heat.

Bahrain has a comparatively small attendance for an F1 circuit. I know it's not a massive venue, but on race day it sees 37,000 people - for comparison there's 160,000+ at Silverstone, which in terms of footprint is only about 25% bigger than Bahrain. On the ground that would make Bahrain seem only a little less busy than the biggest BTCC races (Oulton Park is generally the highest attended), which are certainly more tolerable (to me), than the absolute cattle market the Silverstone is.

... not sure I'd like the heat though. Hottest I've had at Silverstone was 27°C with no shelter. F that, I hate hot weather.

I’ve managed to chose the worst F1 race in a long time, to go to.

Dull racing aside, how was Suzuka? I've not been, but it's on my to-do list (SuperGT probably).

As much as I love the japanese people , man , they are so boring as a crowd.

Add that to the boring race , and you have the perfect recipe for a good nap.

Also , as much as the transportation network is the best in the world , man , it sucked to and from Suzuka.

So if you plan to get there , better of having a rental car.

For me , the US still rocks when it comes to crowd feeling.

This did tickle me, though...

He looks like a champ , way more than Norris.

I really hope McLaren won't screw this and put Norris on as the number 1 driver
Let's hope they don't create a 2007 Kimi Räikkönen situation and stop them trading wins at 3/4 season and focus their efforts on one driver for the last parts of the season to keep Max mathematically out (if it pans out that way)

Starting to really believe all this hype Toto had with Antonelli. The guy is clearly the top rookie this year and keeps performing more and more solidly each weekend.

And Max... He is just the best. He is right there with the McLarens with an inferior car.

What makes you think it's inferior when he's just put it on pole?

No one can be quicker than what the car allows. Max didn't do any big mistakes on the last lap so he got P1.
McLarens will most likely be faster during the race. Piastri vs Norris is heating up 🔥
Hopyfully it rains so we get more action.
Not sure whats happening with Russell this weekend. He has been so slow vs Antonelli. And Ferraris are in deep mud.

Do you think anyone in the paddock believes it's the other way around and that the car is what puts Max on pole?

I'm not asking what the people in the paddock think. You made the statement, so I'm asking you.

I thought it was clear my point was that yes, obviously Max is able to extract way more of a car than other pilots would.

Based on what, though? How do you know the car wasn't set up for quali, whereas McLaren take a long-term view and set their car up for the race? The result certainly looks that way. The McLarens were on another level in the race yet neither got pole? Really?
