F1 Formula 1 - 2025 Season

You can literally expect anything from team Alpine.
Yes, with Briatore more involved more strange things can happen. I read he wants to bring Alonso to the team. Personally I don’t think this would be a good idea, Alonso is well over his top and would probably struggle to beat Gasly.

There have been increasing numbers of reports that Horner will be sacked from Red Bull. I can't see it at the moment.

However, can I just make it clear to anybody who doesn't grasp what happened with the female employee, because every report I see on the matter keeps repeating a falacy:

* Horner was *not* cleared by an independent investigation.
* An independent QC was appointed to collect evidence, but this evidence was handed to the Red Bull board who then came to their verdict.

The female in question is taking Red Bull to an employment tribunal which is scheduled for January 2026. Due to the high profile nature of the case, the judge has imposed reporting restrictions on the British media, so they're not allowed to talk about the case. These restrictions do not apply outside of the UK.

Is there any evidence to suggest Red Bull's conclusion wasn't simply based on the KC's recommendations? Otherwise, it would be quite a gamble for Red Bull to twice have ignored KC advice, given the reasonable expectation it would end up in actual court, with the same evidence likely being presented again.

Who knows? I'm talking purely about the wording that consistently came out of Red Bull about an "independent" investigation, despite the fact the investigators weren't the ones giving the final verdict. It appeared to me to be a deliberate attempt to make people conclude the whole process was independent, when in fact it wasn't.

The first genuinely independent process is the one that will start next January. The fact that it's going further suggests there is a case to answer.

Maybe. The thing that gets me, is it could easily have gotten to that independent process without the trial by media and apparent attempted coercion of Red Bull or Horner that's seemingly gone on. The complainant may well have been acting in good faith, but someone else clearly hasn't been<cough>Jos</cough>, and I find it annoying that they'll likely face no repercussions themselves.

I didn't get some of the tactics by McLaren but Max deserved to win that race. It was a really good race to watch on a whole.

Seems like Papaya rules are back :clown:
And Piastri gave too much space to Verstappen in turn 1. That was silly.

Red Bull had good pace (and lucky VSC) this weekend but Norris had new tires so it was worth a shot letting him fight for P1. Didn't make any sense keeping Norris behind Piastri at that time in the race.
McLaren still needs to learn alot and grow some b@lls.

The race didn't go that bad for Ferrari considering the disastrous qualifying.

What a boring race until the last 5 laps. Verstappen totally losing his head when things didn’t go his way. He reminded me of Vettel, I also had a good laugh of him many times when loosing his head. Good they gave Verstappen a penalty, this is the only language people like him understand.

Yup. +10s was a very soft penalty. That guy will never learn to respect other drivers.
And Lawson is also very aggressive. He crashes in every overtake.

Norris didn't defend well at the start. Gave too much space to his bully friend Verstappen.
Another Mercedes engine going down. WTH!

Don't want to defend Max , he is an as*hole , but damn , putting hard tires for a few laps...

I know he did not had any new set , but even a used (few laps) ones would have been better for a couple of laps...

He truly lost it

Verstappen should not have pitted with no soft tyres left. This move would not have won him the race but he could have finished 3rd. Red Bull was too conservative and dropped to 10th in a race where he could have finished 3rd. A big loss for him.

Great pole by Russell! Mercedes 1st and 3rd in the race! 👏

WTH was Norris thinking! He was doing a good race but that was a silly mistake at the end.

Another impressive quali from Yuki!
And also from Colapinto, I now see why Briatore sacked Doohan after 5 races and replaced him with Colapinto, he is a completely different animal….
