7 Series [Official] 2019 BMW 7 series LCI

The BMW 7 Series is a full-size luxury sedan manufactured and marketed by the German automaker BMW since 1977. It is the successor to the BMW E3 "New Six" sedan. The 7 Series is BMW's flagship car and is only available in a sedan bodystyle (including long wheelbase and limousine models). It traditionally introduces technologies and exterior design themes before other models in BMW's lineup.
I understand, but I will wait for the final figures for the year to see how it went in China, because what I saw there in terms of sales (attached numbers), it seems that they remain stable, (2018-2019), which is exactly the point of the LCI, they will never reach the values of when it was new, but the idea is not to decay abruptly, ( pitifully is not m...
BMW avoids giving data about 7er sales in China so we could understand how it is doing there only if we get some local info. I cited @HUTSUTAo because he gave info for the whole China and not only for Honk Kong.

A member from China posted the sales of the 7 series and S class last year for 2018 so I believe those numbers will be made available in due time for this year , by the way the 7 series outsold the S class in China last year.

I must stress this point again, Mercedes Benz normally bundles all the sales of the S class together as it does for the E and C class as well , so it’s sedan+convertible+ coupe and Maybach variants , I’m yet to see a breakdown of these cars from MB. So when one thinks that the 7 series has performed poorly against the S class they must consider that it’s all S class derivatives vs the 7 series sedan only.

With the possible axing of the coupe and convertible will be able to see less distorted sales number from the S class.

I have never said compared to the S class. The numbers for September as far as I remember were three hundred and something and having in mind that China makes for 45-50% of all the 7er sales, that is quite bad (just for comparison the normal number is about 2000 units per month).

Because they give only information that serves their marketing or complies to the minimum requirement for sales data of a company listed in the stock exchange.
Beyond that sometimes the numbers are drawn a little, I do not think that this is the case since they deliver those of all other countries and even those of BMWs made in China.

Hopefully he will post them more often

Reviewing I found that until September (worldwide), there were 36,000 units sold which gives an average of 4,000 / month, taking into account that the LCI began to reach the world market only at the end of March (Europe), April / May (USA) and then China and others, so it is not a full year

2000 only for China

A bit off-topic, but does anyone have any idea if the next 7 series will be like this?
Now that it is elucidated that the "9 series" will almost certainly not exist and that was decided by the 8 series, the general lines of the VFL were not used in the current 7, (only the excellent slightly transformed front), it will be that here we are seeing the profil...
I believe the closest we will see to this design is the lines on the current 3er. I don't have any insight on this but based on recent BMW trends, I really can't imagine what the next 7er will look like. They are no longer interested in crisp lines and their signature Hofmeister kink. @SCOTT27 will call it "organic" and reinterpretation. I call it a departure of brand identity. One thing we can guess for sure is the grill will probably be bigger than ever.

I had not noticed that the 3 series has adapted certain ideas of the VFL but now that you mention it I see it

It's a shame that a good number of design elements promoted here:

...have not migrated to BMW models beyond the G20/21 3er:

The ensuing "reinvention" of design can be likened to a path that led to incongruency, especially pertaining to current BMW "flagship" offerings.

It's not MB's fault that BMW don't offer any bodystyles other than the sedan. On top of that, your argument assumes that somebody buying an S-Class cabrio would never have bought an S-Class Coupe had the cabrio not existed.

And I must stress that sales figures mean sweet FA if you don't take into account the level of discounts. It baffles me that people constantly compare them and try and draw conclusions!
