They were dotted about the X5 (G05) thread, so I've just created a dedicated thread in the "owner galleries" section.

As for the Live Cockpit....yeah, I have some experience with it from the new G20, but not much like you. We look at these things a little differently though, and either way, it's all software so easy to change the UI.

Well, if they're planning on changing it they should do it ASAP. As it stands I have to live with the stupid way it works. Now, none of the issues I have with the LIVE COCKPIT display are life changing on their own, but I find there are lots of little things that I have to "workaround". BMW are better than that. It gives me the impression it hasn't been tested or thought through.
I've just been out in the X5 today. I found another issue which is just amateurish, and I'll explain it now.
When you drive with the "Driving Mode" displayed in the LIVE COCKPIT (ECO PRO, COMFORT, SPORT), the instrument cluster changes depending on the mode selected. Below is the ECO PRO mode displayed (which has a blue theme), and the fuel consumption is shown in the display (av. 29.1 mpg).
However, if you decide to turn off the "Driving Mode" display so that when you toggle between ECO PRO, COMFORT and SPORT the display just stays the same (the default display is that which is shown in COMFORT), there is an issue which is simply poorly thought through and bad design, something which BMW usually excels at.
The display below is the car in COMFORT mode, and with the fuel economy shown (29.3mpg)
However, if I switch it to ECO PRO the ability to show the average fuel economy disappears! Why?!! I can see how far I've travelled since it was reset...
Here it shows I've travelled 22.6km since I last refueled.
I can see what power and torque the engine is producing...
I can even see what G-Force I'm pulling!
But the one thing I want to display in the instrument cluster is the fuel economy, and I can't see that! Yet you can see it as long as you keep the driving mode in COMFORT and not ECO PRO. It's clearly something which has been overlooked.
