I still don't really like the X6 headlights on X5 btw...how about you guys???

Isn't the X5 due for a facelift soon? Just like the M3 sedan - I'd wait for the facelift model before getting an X5 M! I really do like the car however.

That will be bad if they facelift X5 M after 6 months or 1 year of release.

Yeah, I'm not too keen on it either. The X6 headlights don't seem to fit with the more 'bulky' design of the X5. I dont know what it is... they almost look too small?

The X5 M should have come with the facelift, it would have given the spotlight to the X6 by itself, which it needs. Sales of the X6 aren't that great here in the U.S. I'd be pissed if I bought this and they facelifted it next year. Then again the biggest changes will be with engines for the base models, turbo I6 and V8 for the regular models, the M model likely won't change much. Engine power definitely won't change.

Facelifted M3 E90 came a year after introduction of the M3 E90. Same case with X5 I assume. Typical BMW. Audi did the same thing with RS6.

Releasing it before the facelift gives the buyers who prefer and or don't want to risk it on the facelift the chance to get the car they have been dreaming of for a long time
