I really do not like the shape of this car and I think the interior is too busy. That being said, I'm glad its on the market. Can't wait to the rest of the Euros get their EVs to the market.

More & more carmakers are launching EVs ... But no one is disclosing production capacity of their EV products. I guess we are still talking about very niche & limited production. Not enough batteries yet for a mass volume EV production. VAG, GM, Toyota are selling approx. 10 miliion vehicles per year. Imagine only 25% of those vehicles being EVs. That's 2.5 million EVs per year by each of the previously mentioned carmakers. That's not possible without 1 or 2 battery gigafactories per carmaker. When battery supply will be available then EV production will rise. Until then every carmaker will only produce low volume EV series. Tesla could still have an advantage for a few more years due to mass production (batteries & EV) & broad (super)charger network.

Btw, i-Pace is a nice addition to the EV fleet. We need more!

It's quite nice inside and out. Finally a few more dollars were spent on the interior. It looks too small to compete against the Tesla, the Jag looks a whole size class smaller. What is the point of comparing acceleration when you can't beat the top of the line version of the Tesla?

EV or not EV, that thing looks brilliant, especially the interior. It's instantly one of the best interiors in the market!

PS. The buttons that control the mirrors, which are located in front of the windows buttons on the driver's door, are exactly the same buttons, as in EXACTLY THE SAME, as my first generation S60.

:D

Interior looks interesting at first glance, but will age like hell within a year or two.

Exterior is the poor design we know Jaguar for; a disaster design. Hyundai comes to mind. And better than the Model X without a doubt, but that's not hard when you model a car after a tennis ball.

Love it.

As an aside, glad to see them jump in... EV should be a boon for JLR. They were never going to be able to compete with the Germans on ICE, and now they don't have to.

I think it looks absolutely fantastic. Admittedly I have a penchant for the packaging and styling flexibility afforded by an electric but even then, this thing looks sensational.
For me, it's by far the most engaging and intriguing looking car in Jaguar's line up - so much so that I'd say they saved their best efforts for electric.

Interior is great - it appears a notch up on recent Jaguar offerings - and the car has a decided air of exclusivity about it. I hope it's nothing but a complete success in all aspects.
Please, please be reliable.

Tesla has a serious competitor now. This car is gorgeous.

Amazing who would have thought the first real competitor to Tesla would be Jaguar, the Germans are lagging behind. I know two people who have deposits on I-Paces, JLR in Norway hold desposits for approx 4000 units. Most of those orders would have been for Tesla's 12 months ago, Tesla are going to take a hammering in Norway.

I'd say it's close but not the exact same part.

Not just JLR, but every company or person who wants to make a car in the future.
100 years of accumulated know how down the drain, useless and never to be used again. It's a semi level playing field. Semi, because JLR will prove to be just as incompetent as before.
