C-Class W206 [Official] Mercedes Benz C-Class (W206)

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class (W206) is the fifth generation of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class which is produced by Mercedes-Benz Group AG since 2021. It replaces the W205 C-Class which had been produced since 2014. The fifth-generation C-Class is available in sedan (W206), station wagon/estate (S206), and long-wheelbase sedan (V206) body styles. The W206 C-Class is based on the Mercedes MRA II rear-wheel drive modular platform also used by the W223 S-Class.

AMG just don't have the kahunas to make another V8 C-class.

So many tuners can do it and even put a V12 in a 190E body.

Tuners can do crazy shit.
Unfortunately Mercedes need repeatability in manufacturing.

They absolutely can get that 4L into the W206. The question is will they?
If they can get enough of their fleet electrified, they just might on the facelift.

Pleasantly surprised how quite the engine is inside the car at high speeds. At 180km/h only some wind noise enters the cabin and no engine drone, which is excellent for a diesel. This C200d is not a fireball but the performance seems quite sufficient, 0-100 in timed 7.4sec is good for an engine only delivering 120kw in a 1,7ton body.

I think the most impressive thing of this C200d will be the extremely low fuel consumption and knowing you have a cruising range of 1000km.

from the photos the stars were not placed in the rear lights, strangely, perhaps to do something different from the new models

I am interested mainly in the graphics of the headlights and grill size/shape and the tail light graphics as these are probably the main key differences with the pre FL C206. The mirrors get new indicators, a twin design similar to the W204 FL C-class.

In the old days, I would say "Of course it's got a good rating. It's a Mercedes-Benz, after all!"

But these days with the imminent collapse of the German auto industry (they have only have themselves and the European Union to blame), I'm just relieved that it got a good rating.

The W206 front deformation seems excellent and the car has a very strong/rigid front safety structure. The windscreen is not even cracked and the A-pillars and front door have no deformation. The front wheel did not move that much backward and even the body section between the door and wheel seems hardly affected by the crash test.

Great success.

The market is exactly the same over here in $.

I’ve seen just 1 of these on the road in my town. I see the same matte black example quite frequently, and I feel the urge to walk up to the owner and ask them what compelled them to buy it.

C43/GLC43’s I see more frequently, but those cars actually make sense, and are a more reasonable buy.

I really hope Mercedes fixes this. This C is the most handsome small Mercedes on the road since the later production run 190E 2.6.
