I think I need to see the front in person. I am struggling to like that feature thus far. Perhaps it'll be 7er LCI where, in the metal, it makes much more sense. Otherwise, I am digging everything else very much.

Yeah it's going to be hot, especially when the M4 arrives. The grille will grow on you, literally.

Good for BMW to take some risks with design. The problem with the new 4 is that the worse thing about it isn't the front end. For me it's the rear. Trunk is too high. Meaning the distance from the top of the rear wheel arch to the window line is too wide and ruins what would have otherwise been a perfectly proportioned coupe. As such it looks like lowered "SAV coupe" rather than a true coupe. Also, no matter how big those rear tires are, they'll still somehow manage to appear small. Audi and Mercedes are guilty of that as well. Is this design a result of crash testing and safety or cost cutting measures ? or both ?

Something about the profile doesn't sit well with me. Don't know if it is the low placement of the door handle... It also just looks very plain compared to the rest of the vehicle.

My guess is it has something to do with having to compromise on the rear area/shape of the coupe to accommodate their respective 4-door coupe variant. Before the advent of the 4-door coupe, these 2 door coupes had much lower rear ends. That's just my guess.

Black and dark colours works better for big cars(like 8 series) , limousine etc...for this 4 series coupe i think blue colours and that green colour will work even better with that mesh grill and will show up those lines better also, but thats my perspective and taste

Under direct sunlight CB is a beautiful shade of blue actually and shows what needs to be shown while hiding what needs to be hidden very well. It's my favorite BMW colour.

So far, the new grill seems to work, and the car shares a lot with i4 concept.

Although, I doubt there will be any major changes with the 3 series interior, but I wish they will be as bold as they were with the interior, in my opinion its the only thing left to be revolutionized.

There does appear to be that "underwheeled rear plumpness" evident. Perhaps merely an optical illusion. Official presentation photographs should offer far better clues. In general, the exterior design appears sound, keeping in mind that the F32 is a damned difficult act to follow.

Looks better than I expected, that bugs bunny grill certainly will grow on me, a bit like when Audi first launched their huge grills in mid 2000's, it took time to digest and one can say actually looks quite good now.
