Yeah - it's pretty darn amazing I have to say. Slight misgivings around the new kidney format aside, there's really not much for me to fault.

Yes it's CFRP.

The F13 was one of the best looking coupes at the time. This 8 series is beautiful too but not that good as 6 series F13 IMO.

Very subjective, but time will tell...
I love F13 6-series too, but G15 8-series is the needed update IMO

Yeah, the rear was a bit hard to swallow when I saw it a few months ago. The 6er felt more svelte in comparison. It definitely works better in the flesh though.

The F13 is the last of the Bangle-type cars. In person the GranCoupe is extremely striking in either matte or individual colours. With the 8-series BMW have evolved features such as the L-shaped tail lights and low nose to have more conformist styling. It's pleasing without visual controversy controversy.

Love the shape of this side profile, but can't help thinking it is excessively big when I compare the tiny size of the passenger compartment with the rest of the car... I doubt rear seats will be usable other than by kids.
