This is gonna be the best selling sedan everThe surfaces shine through in these spy photographs showing a very clean surface wise body. The renders details should be a bit fuller.![]()

And likely to be one of the sexiest traditional three-box sedans ever due to its boxy profile and silhouette. This is gonna be the best selling sedan ever
Definitely used data from customers and saw that most people don’t open it. That’s the problem with data driven design, probably the same reason they rid of the iDrive knob. Everyone other than me would use the touchscreen in my G30, no one would go for the knob. It'll look amazing. But please BMW... why the useless fixed glass roof![]()

Yeah I mean obviously it’s because it’s cheaper, but using this data gives them a very reason to do it. I’m sure they wouldn’t have gotten rid of it if everyone used it all the time.I'm sure there's data that suggests that, but a much more significant data point was likely that these fixed glass roofs are cheaper to manufacture and install, as they need to cut costs wherever they can while trying to uphold quality elsewhere like common touch points etc
I used mine all the time on my E90 and still use it a lot on my B8.5. The venting function especially is great on hot days.Funny, in nearly 15 years of running 3ers, I’ve probably opened the sunroof a dozen times.
good ideaI pop the tilt on mine if I need more downforce.
Only 10% of the customers in Europe ordered or used the open roof. (Source BMW). I use it +/- 30 times a year. Mostly only tilt. For the rest I have a closed sunscreen/roof. The possibility for not being able to order an open sunroof is not a deal breaker, but I would order one if it would be possible. In other words, no sunroof for me when I can't open it.Funny, in nearly 15 years of running 3ers, I’ve probably opened the sunroof a dozen times. I use the iDrive controller and satellite buttons on every trip.
Same here, I only use the tilt if anything. Here in the US almost all BMWs come with a sunroof, I have never even owned a BMW without a sunroof. I'm jealous of my friends E39 "slicktop".Only 10% of the customers in Europe ordered or used the open roof. (Source BMW). I use it +/- 30 times a year. Mostly only tilt. I-drive I use every day for the navigation and other stuf in the menu. Never use the display with my fingers.
