X5 [Spy Shots] Next Gen BMW X5 (G65) and iX5 - coming in 2027?

The BMW X5 is a mid-size luxury crossover SUV produced by BMW. The X5 made its debut in 1999 as the E53 model. It was BMW's first SUV. BMW marketed the X5 officially as a "Sports Activity Vehicle" (SAV), rather than an SUV, to indicate its on-road handling capability despite its large dimensions.

Lovely thing. I can't really think of an ugly looking X5 generation actually, they all looked amazing. I'm pretty sure it will be the class leader again, or at least one of the best choices. I also like the different taillight graphics, though I wonder where are those alleged 'X shaped' DRL's.

These tail light graphics look absolutely disgusting. Looks like a dying heartbeat pulse.

I hate these X6 style weird random lines of the graphics.
Yeah, the taillight graphics look a bit weird. Unfortunately spy shots suggest these are the final design.

The rear lights are still partly camouflaged so you probably do not see the full outline. It could be different towards the middle of the trunk as well as the lower part (think current X5 or X3). Great effort though, looking forward to see more!

The BMW Group is launching a vehicle with five different drivetrain technologies. The new BMW X5 will be the first model to offer customers a choice of battery electric, plug-in hybrid, petrol, diesel, and hydrogen fuel cell technology. The HyMoS (Hydrogen Mobility at Scale) initiative is designed to promote the development of hydrogen ecosystems and refueling stations in metropolitan areas and aims for an initial pilot implementation in Germany.
