1 Series [Spyshots] BMW 1-Series Sedan

The BMW 1 Series is a range of subcompact executive cars (C-segment) manufactured by BMW since 2004. Positioned as the entry-level model in BMW range of products, the first generation was produced in hatchback, coupé and convertible body styles.
M Performance is not an M product. It's a regular BMW tuned by M, at the most.

Car looks horrible as always, btw. God aweful proportions. Please keep it far away from EU shores!

I disagree it's the best looking BMW product launched in the last 5 years.

I hope they make a Touring version.

Over years of past experience... something tells me you're not the biggest BMW fan.

Something tells me you don't read what I say very often, I'm a huge BMW fan I just don't like the styling direction they have taken in the past decade, the new 5 & 7 are boring looking generic sedans that could have come from Korea, BMW build sporty cars, these are not sporty cars, where is the modern E28, E60 or E30?

I'd sell Klier to a Balkan people smuggling ring providing freah meat to gay Arabs to own an E28 like this Alpina. It's the absolute essence of the BMW sports sedan, it's just a pity BMW design mojo was fluched down the thunder box many years ago, I guess they have to keep the Americans happy.

Oh I am acutely aware of your apparent penchant for decades-old BMWs. You've made this abundantly clear. But let's be straight up here - you haven't liked a modern BMW in some time. No-one's doing anything near to those erstwhile cars you admire so much. No. One.

Ironic though that you have all of this zeal for the FWD little shit when this car...

... is far closer both in terms of heritage, mechanical philosophy and spirit to that long-passed E30 you mention as one example.

Yip, it's a gorgeous little 228i coupe and there is nothing in its market like it. [Toyobaru doesn't warrant mentioning]
You do appreciate that the modern context is vastly different from 30 years back? Times change and yet, it's BMW that's still doing the stuff that's closest to those great classics.

The front light is a mix of the pre LCI f20 and the LCi ones ... yes rear light are a little too big ... maybe a better looking car in m pack and bigger wheels

Its going to be so painful to watch the 1 series hatch have its FWD transition operation.

Although it may not be the most attractive car with its headlights and rear lights, appreciate the long hood, short overhangs and real RWD proportions on a small hatch before it's too let's.

Compact sedan concept looks so much better. The real car appears bulbous and lazy in appearance due to the shape of the head and tail lights. The bonnet line on the actual car just isn't working.
