5 Series [Spyshots] BMW 5 Series F10 Facelift Spy Information

The BMW 5 Series is an executive car manufactured and marketed by BMW since 1972. The car is sold as either a sedan or, since 1991, a station wagon (marketed as "Touring"). A 5-door fastback (marketed as "Gran Turismo") was sold between 2009 and 2017. Each successive generation has been given an internal G-code designation since 2017. Previously, a F-code designation was used between 2010 and 2016, while an E-code designation was used between 1972 and 2010. These are used to distinguish each model and generation from each other.
There ain't a single german car that looks as good as the M3/e92 it can be compared only with Porsche in looks department.
So the 5er is pretty much amazing for what it is because BMW ain't making a car as beautiful as the M3 never again.

I cleaned the thread of every insulting and off topic posts.

Please stay on topic, and stop the flaming.

Thanks.

Interesting thing I just noticed about the 3er. As modern cars get their A-Pillars pushed further out, and their windshields get flatter and flatter, i.e so you can't even see them sometimes when viewing a cars side profile, the F30 has a really pulled out/rounded windshield. Not a good nor bad thing I think, up to the person perceiving it, but thought it was interesting. Maybe some designers are going back the other way to buck the trend purposefully.

Just for fun...BMW 5 with amazing full LED lights from 7 Series (on side edges I`ve made little adjustments).

If you admit suggestions, I would change the LED fogs for traditional looking ones, and would go for a more aggressive air intakes, leaving the front lights shape unchanged and adding the new interior shape for the kidneys, as in the 3er.

Nice render though I doubt the 5er will get LED front foglights as 7er LCI did not receive them, and it will have the new, more-streamlined wing-mirrors ( with integrated indicators ) from the LC1 F01 as well.

^^ your right, it ( probably ) will have the LED front foglights from the F01 LCI, but not a strip of them like the 6er.

And a quick overview of the changes:
Slimmer, more aerodynamically efficient wing mirrors, now with integrated turn signals.
Full LED headlights optional.
New 3D display with Professional Navigation, slightly altered operating system, with addition of dictation function as seen in 7 Series LCI.
535i models to receive N55 replacement, set to debut in F32.
550i models to receive N63tu, up 38 bhp and 37lb ft, slightly more efficient.
Additional soundproofing, retuned suspension for more comfortable ride, and better handling.

Very well, let's continue the discussion here....

Are they also changing 5-series headlights to integrate with grill like the new 3-series?

No they are not. Expect a minor facelift, with new bumpers only. But remember that the bumper goes all the way up to the hood cutline, and the whole grille is part of the 'bumper'.
Like Eni said, you can already see the 5er GT style 'eyebrows' through the camo.....which is a very good thing, as it's a highlight of the 5er GT design. It will make the front more 'angry' looking.

If the V8 gains 38 hp, the I6 should have an output of 350 hp to keep the same power difference.

F10 facelift with s more cunning and distinguishable face is gonna be a perfect 3-Box Sedan.

This is BMW's best looking 4-door, don't mess it up.

I love how the E-Class is getting so many changes it's like they're forcing new elements onto a car they seem to admit mistake on.

The 5? Simple, clean changes (seemingly), we can rest assured it'll be a subtle evolution and hopeful improvement, not offensive to early adopters who entrusted BMW to give them a timeless car with confidence. Early E owners, unless very much attached to the 4 eye and Luxury grille look and harmoniously-angular theme (which is how I am when it comes to the E) to the point where they'll view it as the more regarded variation in the future, are getting the shaft.

At this point, M-B's actions make me wish I got the 5-Series. I probably wouldn't be trying to get out of it early.

I don't like the way the 5 series drives. It's a boat. I also hate the taillights. Everything else looks gorgeous. I can't wait to see a 5 series with LED lights.

As for engine choices, I think the new I6 will get the 6GC I6. 315 HP.

No doubt about it, the 5er Touring has better looking backlights. They're slimmer and just more refined. The current backlights are indeed one of the weak points.
It sadly looks like the shape is going to stay the same, just different graphics....although it's way too early to draw any conclusions, of course.
