Are we starting to see a trend where BMW's LCI's won't be as drastic as they once were? I mean, they have LED lights standard now.(Except the 3 series) Have we gotten to a point where it's going to just be minor tweaks of the bumper and mirrors and maybe some exterior colors and some new interior leather and that's that? The X3 has also had very minor updates just like the 5 LCI.
I think BMW's designing them so good from the get-go, that the "facelifts" are now gonna be what facelifts are truly supposed to be, i.e not "corrections", but subtle refreshments. It shows a design team who's on the money and focuses on forward timelessness, which is respectable.
As long as the cars don't "need" it, there's no reason to mess with a winning formula.
