M6 [Spyshots] BMW M6 Gran Coupe (Spy pics, Info & Impressions)

The BMW M6 is a high-performance version of the 6 Series marketed under the BMW M sub-brand from 1983 to 2019 (with a hiatus from 1990 to 2004). Introduced in the coupe body style, the M6 was also built in convertible and fastback sedan ('Gran Coupe') body styles for later generations. An M6 model was built for each of the first three generations of the 6 Series. Production of the M6 ended in 2019 and it was replaced by the BMW M8 (F91/F92/F93) in 2019. Official website: BMW M
Repulsive, that paint exposed panel gap. Incredible that BMW gets away with putting this on such a high (over) priced (beautiful) car. I could never drive the car like that after paying all that money. Reminds me of a 70's American Pickup truck in fit/finish.
Indeed, we have discussed this ad nauseum in many threads. Let's not repeat these discussions here, shall we?

Come on, he only says so because it's so blatantly obvious in that particular pic :) still I must stress that it is the angle of the shot and the flash of the camera that makes it much worse than it actually is.
It's pretty much invisible when you sit in the car yourself, and even then it doesn't matter. The fit and finish appears to be absulutely incredible from what I can see in these pics. Let's wait for our tactile quality control manager, Human.

K-A beginning about the car being overpriced yet again is much more upsetting. That can be considered trolling in fact, while stating facts isn't.

Yeap, I know. That's why I wanted my above post to serve as a reminder, not to have the same old conversation again. It's, as you said, obvious, but if you remember, this resulted in a very heated discussion.

:)

Oh come one, save this crap for the regular Gran Coupe thread.

Best regards,

How dareth one criticize hideous BMW defects right in front of ones face.

You like rust, you like panel gaps with nasty exposed paint on $130K cars. I get it, BMW can do no wrong to you. I shall never comment on a BMW flaw again. ;)

Sad to say it noticeable in the 6er Coupe also, didn't see until some sunlight hit the door panel. Sigh......

One small flaw on an otherwise brilliant car.

Those things really do bother me though. I just don't know what BMW was thinking. IMO, put some black vinyl wrap on it and you'll never have to notice it again.

And we just need correction of the camera and light direction and....

Will there be an Alpina B6 Gran Coupe? It would make sense sense since they've already done the legwork for the B5/B6 Coupe and Convertible, but they've also never touched any BMW they haven't historically fettled, modifying reservedly all the 3 Series, the 5 S&T and 6 C&C.

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
