I don't think it looks bad, but I also don't like it.
Needs more of a strong shoulder line I think.

Unlikely. It probably would have to be the coupe concept then, because we've had two versions of the sedan already, and the SUV as well.
It's likely that the next spottings will be test cars covered up in camo, and then in less than half a year the production version of the iX3.
It should go relatively fast after that with the sedan, and then maybe a coupe concept (?)

I kinda like this design, it looks quite sharp and unusual but definitely alot more adventurous and distinctive more than its rivals in this segment. I think this design will look better with lighter colours such as white, canary yellow, powder blue etc.

Not many reasons to be excited, so far... It looks rather un-BMW from these spyshots.

Hard to understand, the NA SUVs spy pics look great…

Shorter dash-to-axle with the raised hood is a bit odd looking. Might look nice if the body work ends up being crisp and clean surfaced, with some flaring around the fenders... if the surfacing ends up being more like the current 5er we're doomed

A dash of E30, a bit of E36 and a wee pinch of E90 with some en vogue blistered wheelarch sculpturing. Appears very...BMW.

Short front over hang is nice, as well as the super low hood (especially all the way in the front and center), but the rear overhang is too short.

Also I was looking forward to the high up mounted taillights that doubled as a spoiler lip from the concept, disappointing that didn't make it.

There seems to be a nice flare around the front wheels, hard to see with the camo in most the pictures making it look flat.

It’s got the concepts flared rear arches. It could never mimic the concepts flatter appearance for packaging reasons. But the new i3 will probably end up surprising us. I wonder if rumours are true and that the thinner kidney grille will adorn i3 as well as iX3?

I dig the shark nose, reminds me of the 3 and 5 series I was craving for as a little boy. I'd say that the rear still has too much camouflage to make anything sensible out of it. Let's wait and see.

My immediate reaction was "odd but interesting" and not immediate revolt like when I saw the first G60 5er spy shots, so that's a good thing

Where have you heard these rumors? I would hope that is true, but I don't think it is just looking at these spy pics.

I do see what you're saying.

The previous generation A3 Sedan is IMO still the best contemporary take on proportions and design for a vehicle of this class and size.
