E-Class (W214) [Official] New Mercedes-Benz E-Class (W214)

The sixth generation of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class executive car is a lineup consisting of three body styles, the W214 sedan, S214 estate, and the X214 all terrain estate, which are vehicles produced by German luxury vehicle manufacturer Mercedes-Benz Group since 2 May 2023.

IMHO, the currently 3 best looking 4 door automobiles from German manufacturers (in no particular order):

Ola Källenius and his electric dreams are ruining Mercedes. Marginal rating is a f#cking disgrace!

What particular results are you referring to? The E class was recently rewarded the highest overall score of vehicles being tested:

It earned a marginal rating in the moderate overlap crash-test where the rear lap belt moved onto th dummy's abdomen and the rear shoulder belt moved towards the dummy's neck.

The problem with the W214:
- terrible materials
- totally too small and cramped cabin for an E-Class (a W210 is a Maybach for the W214 in terms of spaciousness), where I have legroom in the back, like I used to in the C-Class, and where at the front, at my 1.86 m, I hit the door armrest with my left knee, and with my right knee, the completely unfortunate protrusion of area above the center console - which has never happened to me with any upper middle class car in my entire life - shame on Mercedes
- no V8

Everyone has his own opinion. I for one did not have a problem with hitting my legs on the lower parts of the dash in the new E-Class.
I am right at the average height for an American male. The rear area is where the E-Class could have used a little more space. The BMW 5-Series seemed more roomy overall. The material quality in the general areas in the new E is head and shoulder above the previous model IMO and is up there with the 5-Series. I believe most journalists would agree me on that one.
There have been complaints on here about the appearance of the UI in the E-Class but I can say, after using it compared to the 5-Series and Audi A6, and A8 models, (even compared to the Porsche) MBux is more intuitive and customizable and less "factory feeling" compared to the 5-Series and Audi A6. The new E is not perfect as no car is but it is walking away with more awards than the competition at this stage.

Same. I dont mind the edge of the screen with my knee but the center console have this stupid edge that's not very comfortable to rest your leg on. It's a shame. The console is masive as well and the car does not seem very roomy at all

I know that feeling. The problem is except some EV’s the cockpits are becoming more and more cramped.

The worst new car I was sitting in was the Peugeot 3008/5008
It’s not only that your legs are hitting everything, it’s just that the space is claustrophobic af.
