The EU needs to lead by example and stop the sale of ICE vehicles sooner rather than later, if the good citizens of the EU don’t like it though. Next step is to remove all the ICE vehicles from the road.

LMAO

How many of your engineers are going to be driving 600 miles in a day? I call BS on this! In the UK that’s at least 6-7 hours on the road, the working day is only 8 hours, they can’t be all that productive with sick long distances to travel.

Even bigger LMAO

Surely you realize that this is an element of a ideologically propelled narrative that has more recently blown the voter approval ratings of socalled "traditional, more or less mainstream" political parties to smithereens in the EU. And here in Germany, a narrative promoted by the Greens that is rapidly pushing that party towards the ledge of a seemingly unavertable abyss. And I state this as someone who supports the proliferation of electric vehicles and sees them as the future of automobiles. But hastily knee-jerking legislation while disregarding the time and effort required in order to facilitate a realistic transformation process smacks of totalitarianism and drives vasts portions of an electorate towards political peripheries that categorically reject that transformation process all together.

You most probably meant this in a sarcastic way, but, my dear friend, as you know, the EU is everything but democratic.
I don’t know what is worse, the EU and it’s current politicians or people who can’t think for themselves…
Of course it was sarcastic. And agree with your comment. But we have to think about the reasons why do current politicians think that about their citizens.

The answer is fanatism.

At least they can try to think for each other. Biden can't think for himself let alone anyone else. 🤣

We are a specialist engineering company.

We do work for specialist healthcare facilities that directiy save lives.

I can get a call right now that they need someone up in liverpool, or Wales, or newcastle. Thats 5 hours one way.

The engineer could be on site for 30 minutes, or 12+ hours and be put up in a random hotel closest to the job.

The last thing my guys will want to do is have to look for somewhere to charge.

They want to get the job done and get back down home to their families.

Some guys will stop off for lunch, some guys have been known not to stop at all.

Either case the 600+ mile range of the transporter vans is hugely welcomed.

And this is the reality of the world, not the goody two shoes omg you can only work 8 hours a day soft belly modern man thought process.

So when the engineer drives 600 miles he's taking a packed lunch and it pissing in a bottle?

Biden is now irrelevant, what's on the horizon is far far worse, I can't believe the American public let that man have a second chance.

Poor choices and worse choices. That appears to be the crux of modern politics. Frankly, in todays world, I cannot understand how ANYONE could fervently support ANY politician in a manner that presents a theatrical sense of idolization and adulation.

If EVs are better, it doesn't need the EU to do anything. To use the popular analogies of the Pro-EV crowd, film cameras didn't have to be legislated out for the market to switch to digital, dumb phones didn't have to be legislated out for the market to switch to smart phones, and physical media didn't have to be legislated out in order for digital media and streaming services to dominate. If EVs are good enough, for enough people, then they will switch without government intervention, and if they aren't, then people shouldn't be made to.

FWIW, I am against any bans/mandates. And let the market forces decide, which, I believe will favor EVs. People seem to get too caught up in short term news cycles and not see the larger trend.

Sometimes governments have to mandate otherwise people and companies will do what they want and damn the consequences, good examples of this are seatbelts, ABS and banning drinking and driving.

However, these are examples that are highly advantageous in the promotion of immediate human safety and immediate physical well-being. And hence, immediately comprehensible and relatively unproblematic to promote as meaningful, beneficial legislation.. There little if anything anchored in ideological agendas. Ideologically driven agendas that are perhaps fundmantally sound, but have progressively mutated into fanatical movements that categorically refuse to even entertain the of concept pragmatic compromise that leads to rational, step-by-step progression that, as an end result, facilitates transformation.

Not everyones incontinent or has a weak bladder.

You forgotten what its like to be a younger man or have you only ever lived a privileged lifestyle full of myrhh and roses?
