Beat me to it. Stupid Sci Test.
I still think the CLS 63 looks better then that.

I hope this takes the crown of fastest sedan in the world. Tough competition out there.![]()
If the 4 Series/M4 GranCoupé looks anything like it, I'l skip the 2 door Coupé version. 4 door Coupé is so much better IMHO.
I doubt it. But I don't want to speculate either, can't wait for the first tests. I would think it will be minimally slower than the M5 though, which is slower than the Panny Turbo S (around a track).

That all depends on what the Bavaria's decide on what the power-plant's output will be be.
Going by what they did to the 650 GC which has about 40HO advantage over the 650i and 550i, we may see a 6M GC have more power over the 6M Coupe to justify the astronomical price they will want for it.
Just a guess..
My eyes are still having a tough time noticing the 2 extra doors!
I love the subtlety of that black rubber valance.
Proof that it is a "true" 4 door coupé.
I was going to say something along those lines, but decided against it for fear of starting another debate vs. CLS.
Compared to the likes of the CLS, Passat CC, A7, etc ... the 6GC in my opinion is the more convincing 4-door Coupe because it actually has an identical 2-door sibling rather than just comparing to the 5er/7er sedans.
Well, the 6 Coupe is based on the exact 5-Series chassis, making the 6 GC as more of a 5-Series with 6-Series sheetmetal.
The wheelbase and core architecture are exact 5-Series (same wheelbase), while both the 5 and GC have a 4" longer wheelbase than the 6 Coupe.
It's not an exact 6-Series with 4-Doors, but it does have an exact 5 Series chassis and wheelbase.![]()
fact. Fact is, the 6 Series a 4 door coupé.
The 6 Series Coupé is then also not a real coupé, as it is just a 5 Series with shortend wheelbase and different sheetmetal. Ok, but with the 4 GC, you won't be able to say anything, as it will have exactly the same wheelbase as the 4 Series Coupé, the same sheetmatal, the same roof line, just 4 doors instead of 2. Proof that all 2 door coupés are not true coupés.
How do you qualify that "fact" if the 6 GC is on an exact 5-Series Sedan platform, with identical wheelbase, while the 6 Coupe is on a modified wheelbase, 4" shorter them both the 6 GC and 5-Series Sedan?
Don't let the Marketing Guys own you!![]()
I think what's happening is that the term "Coupe" has become owned by Marketing manipulation.
I guess we should say that everything is a Sedan now, with different variations.
Me, personally, I like to think that a TRULY designed Coupe, i.e something built from the ground up, as a 2-Door Coupe, without a 4-Door/Sedan sibling shared upon it, is in essence, the truest form of "Coupe". You can see it in the proportions as well, in comparison to a Coupe based off of a Sedan (like the 6 Coupe, etc.). However, due to circumstances, like I said in the other Thread, I personally "pass" another car off as a Coupe, if it has 2 doors.
