F-Type [Renders] 2020 Jaguar F-Type

The Jaguar F-Type (X152) is a series of two-door, two-seater sports cars manufactured by British car manufacturer Jaguar Land Rover under their Jaguar Cars marque from 2013 to 2024. The car's JLR D6a platform is based on a shortened version of the XK's platform. It is the so-called "spiritual successor" to the E-Type.

Tough comment but it's hard to argue against it when hothatches such as the Golf R, M135i and A35 are faster and signifigantly cheaper than a 4 pot F-Type. However the F-Type is engaging enough and the looks will justifies the price for those who want a break from German cars.

Hatches are faster than sportscars, CUVs are faster than supercars. Nothing justifies the price of former enthusiast's cars anymore. Now "enthusiasts" can not wait for the next CUV.

This F-Type's underpinnings are old (but very good for a GT), dating back to the XK mkII, surely no new F-Type after this one, but rather an i-Pace SVR.

Nope. That's not an improvement. It just doesn't work and there's no other way to describe it. Pre-facelift owners rejoice - your car looks far better.

That bonnet shut line looks terrible. Reminds me alot of the shut lines of some Korean cars, too much bumper ahead of the line.

Sad looking car. Ian Callum’s great original designs have been mutilated with each facelift.

Did you guys hear that Jaguar is stopping all production for 4 weeks due to low demand of their (lacklustre) products and Brexit?

The company is in dire straits and will be on life support in a couple years. Tata short probably start disassociating Jaguar and Land Rover. It’s a tale of two cities.

Swimming against the tide...

I LIKE it.

Regarding Jaguars' current distress: It saddens me. Jaguar is a marque that has so often impressed me (and alas, also disappointed me) throughout my history as a carnut. I hope that the brand will somehow survive.

Why do I get the impression that Jaaaaaag is placing all bets on electrification? It's like they want to be the English Tesla.

Excluding stylish coupes, what has been impressive about...

Reaching back in time...

XK120, XK150, MKII, E-Type, 420/420G, series I/II XJ6 and XJ12 to name a few. I quite liked the series I and II XK8s as well. The first-gen XF sedan was quite sharp. Cars that I perceive to have made statements.

I've watched all three videos. The yellow colour is stunner and the exhaust soundtrack hasn't been too ruined by OPF.

It's disappointing that the yellow colour is £4,500!!! It's a big rip off and let down given that it's not double or triple layered like the yellow on the Megane RS or AMG GT.

Fingers crossed Jaguar has revolved the alarming levels of rust suffered by the undercarriage of the F-Type.
